Adam Cole, Your MusicFriend, is a music educator, author and composer in Atlanta, GA. He holds a Masters in Music Education from Georgia State and a Bachelor's in Arts from Oberlin College. In addition, he maintains a certification in the Feldenkrais Method (R) which he uses to teach music in a unique way.
Adam is well-known as a jazz pianist in the Atlanta area. He has played with jazz greats such as Nicholas Payton and Marian McPartland, and has recorded with the Georgia State Jazz Orchestra. His own ensemble, the Adam Cole Trio, was featured for years on CNN.com. Adam's has studied piano with Geoffrey Haydon, Ted Howe and Neal Creque, conducting with Alan Raines, Patrick Freer and Daniel Moe, and composition and orchestration with Nicholas Demos, Curtis Bryant and Dennis Eberhard.
Adam is the author of two nonfiction books on music: Solfege Town and Ballet Music for the Dance Accompanist. He has also written four novels, a number of books for children about music, and several short-story collections. As a composer, Adam has written for a variety of instruments. His orchestral piece, Themes Off A Variation, a tribute to Robert Schumann, is archived at the Schumann House in Zwickau, Germany.
